Our Residential Project: M Vertica – A Serene Urban Retreat
At Young Concept Design, we focus on creating beautiful, practical spaces. Our recent project at M Vertica, a high-rise condominium, showcases a minimalist design that brings both comfort and style. Led by Esther Au Yong, the design team aimed to create a peaceful and functional retreat for city living.
Key Design Features
Simple and Functional Design
The design at M Vertica focuses on minimalism, with clean lines and a clutter-free look. Built-in cabinets and seamless room transitions, such as the TV cabinet flowing into the dining area, create a calm and organised space. Every part of the design is carefully planned to be both practical and stylish.
Soft Colour Palette
The home features a soothing colour palette of white, oak, and subtle accents. These neutral tones create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, while small touches of colour add warmth and personality. This balance ensures the home feels both cosy and elegant.
Functional Kitchen with Integrated Appliances
The kitchen at M Vertica is designed for both style and function. The kitchen was expanded, and appliances like the fridge and washer-dryer were built into hidden spaces to save room. Glass splashbacks contrast with matte surfaces, giving the kitchen a sleek, modern feel while keeping it practical for everyday use.
Spacious Bedrooms with Smart Storage
The bedrooms at M Vertica are designed to maximise space. Built-in wardrobes and smart storage solutions keep the rooms tidy, while a calming palette of white, birch wood, and grey-green creates a relaxing environment. Concealed lighting adds warmth, and the master bedroom features upholstered headboards and a mix of glass and matte wardrobe doors for a touch of luxury.
Modern Bathrooms with Large Tiles
The bathrooms at M Vertica use large tiles to create a spacious, open feel, while making cleaning easier. The minimalist design continues in the bathrooms, with hidden storage that keeps surfaces clean and uncluttered. The result is a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere perfect for winding down.
Contemporary Foyer
The foyer sets the tone for the home with a modern, clean design. Functional shoe cabinets keep the entrance tidy, creating a welcoming and organised space right from the front door.
Conclusion
The M Vertica project highlights the power of minimalist design when done thoughtfully. By focusing on clean lines, simple colours, and smart use of space, we created a stylish yet comfortable home. Every detail, from the expanded kitchen to the calming bedrooms, was designed to provide both beauty and practicality. M Vertica is a great example of how minimalism can create a peaceful and elegant living space in the heart of the city.
